Hi there!

I’m Shijaz Abdulla and I work as a Partner Technology Advisor at Microsoft. Several years ago, when I was working as a Technical Consultant for another organization, I came up with this idea of sharing knowledge and my experience on Microsoft technologies. Thus, this blog was born.

For my contributions to technology in this blog, in the Microsoft technet forums, and as a speaker at local technology events, I was awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award in the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 – three times in a row. In 2009, I accepted a full-time employee position at Microsoft.

Initially called “Technically Speaking” at the URL blog.shijaz.com, this blog went through a couple of changes over time to become what it is today – microsoftnow.com.

I enjoy posting on this blog and welcome your comments for each post! Subscribe to this blog’s RSS feed to stay up-to-date.

I read your article on HTTPS inspection, and blocking certain Messengers via TMG, will try it later. I have a workgroup at my office, ,my question is i can use these procedures to filter out HTTPS traffic, originating from PCs, but what about mobile devices? with all those androids out-there, is there any possibility to filter their https traffic as well?
